Whilst both utilize acupuncture needles, they are distinctly different techniques.
The main difference between Acupuncture and Dry Needling is the theory between the two. Dry needling is primarily utilized to help improve musculoskeletal presentations and reduce pain by releasing trigger points or muscular knots.
Acupuncture on the other hand, has strong beliefs in meridian systems and restoring body energy systems as well as treating many medical conditions.
