Cupping is a method of applying acupressure by placing glass cups on the skin to create suction. At the area of suction, blood circulation is increased promoting tissue healing and circulating stagnation of blood and lymphatics. It is believed this action can assist with muscle tension and promote cellular repair. Many of our practice member report stronger relief when mixing this technique with other sports therapy techniques. It is important to note, Cupping may leave temporary marks on the skin from the suction. These can last anywhere between 2 to 7 days.
